An active contributor to the science and technology industry in Malaysia and formerly Science Advisor in the Prime Minister’s Department, Tan Sri Omar served on a number of national committees and initiated various programmes for the country’s technology advancement management, research and development and commercialization. This includes the establishment of Technology Park Malaysia Corporation, the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology, Composite Technology (Research) Malaysia Sdn Bhd and Malaysia Technology Development Corridor.

Puan whom is also the founder, established Green Packet in 2000 and led the company to become an international player in the provision of connectivity devices and solutions to telecommunications companies globally. He subsequently led the company to its Main Market listing in 2005. The Group’s biggest endeavor was to raise substantial capital to launch and operate Malaysia’s challenger telecommunications company before it was acquired by TM Berhad. Thereafter, Puan relinquished his role as Group CEO in 2014 when he became P1’s CEO after the TM acquisition for two years. Under his leadership, Green Packet became the world’s third largest vendor for WiMAX devices with a growing portfolio and customer base for LTE devices.

Mr. Tan Kay Yen Executive Director
Mr. Tan has played an integral role in the company’s growth since 2006, where he supervised Green Packet’s growth to beyond just being a software company and its transition towards a main board listed entity in 2007. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Tan held a couple of key positions in the Group from Chief Operating Officer, Acting Chief Financial Officer and the most recent was Chief Executive Officer.

Encik A. Shukor was appointed as the Company’s Independent Non-Executive Director of the company in 2008. He has played key roles in Malaysia’s technology sector and was the Chairman of Persatuan Industry Komputer dan Multimedia (PIKOM) from 1993 to 1995. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Group Managing Director of Theta Edge Bhd.

Datuk Ng Soon Hong Independent Non-Executive Director
Datuk Ng has 27 years of experiences in the field in property, investment and club management, He possessed significant skills from many aspects which identify his style of visionary leadership and effective management, with his depth knowledge and wide public relationship and presentation skills. He is coaching and mentoring other board members and supporting their professional development to ensure that the company strategy is geared towards success. He sits on the board of several private limited companies.

Cik Nora was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the company in August 2020. She is an accomplished Finance and Strategy professional with over two decades of sound experience, including driving multi-million dollar and regional M&A, business turnaround and change management, especially in telecommunications.
Cik Nora has over a decade of senior leadership experience, having first been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of Aktel (now known as Robi Axiata), the second largest mobile operator in Bangladesh, in 2007. In 2010, she took on the role of Vice President and Head of Treasury and Investor Relations for Axiata Group Bhd.
In 2012, Cik Nora was appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of Packet One Networks (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd until 2014, when the company was acquired by Telekom Malaysia Bhd. She then moved into the role of Chief Financial and Corporate Affairs Officer for the new entity, Webe Digital Sdn Bhd, until 2018. She now runs her own consultancy services business, focusing on SMEs.
She also has experience as a Board Director for various private limited companies including in telecommunications, construction and engineering and investment and consultancy services.
Cik Nora is a Fellow Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia and LeadWomen.
